Plan Your Week: August 29

Hi, Friends! Hope you had a great weekend, and are ready to jump back into another week. I decided to help maintain accountability and consistency, I’m going to start sharing my plan for the upcoming week for meals and workouts. Hope this gives you some inspiration. I find that planning this out takes a portion of stress away from the week, maybe something new for you to try out if you currently don’t!

Plan Your Meals:

  • Breakfast: Smoothies or eggs
  • Lunch: Leftovers or salad
  • Dinners:
    • Monday – ground beef taco bowls
    • Tuesday – pork loin, veggie, quinoa
    • Wednesday – maple dijon chicken skillet
    • Thursday – spaghetti with zucchini noodles
    • Friday – homemade pizza

Plan Your Workouts:

My goal is to have three lifting sessions per week, and then to focus on being active in some capacity the other days.

  • Monday: Walk with A
  • Tuesday: Gym lifting session
  • Wednesday: Walk with A
  • Thursday: Gym lifting session
  • Friday: Walk with A
  • Saturday: Gym lifting session
  • Sunday: Walk/rest

New week, and time to get back to the workout grind! Last week was pretty quiet on the workout front since I was recovering from vacation 😉

Sunday Day 1 of couch-to-5k, 1 round of tabata (KB swings, pushups, squats with CB, crunches)
Monday Rest
Tuesday NROLFW, Stage 7 + Intervals
Wednesday Couch-to-5k + 2 rounds of tabata
Thursday NROLFW, Stage 7 + Intervals
Friday Couch-to-5k + 2 rounds of tabata
Saturday NROLFW, Stage 7 + Intervals

Weekly Workouts! 1.23.2012

Wow, what a dreary dreary day! It was so foggy, and it didn’t really go away all day.  My favorite eat from the day: Cheetah Spots from SnackFace. I’m a huge lover of sweet potatoes, but these little guys just hit the spot.

Yesterday’s activities left me pretty tired this morning, because they included too many beers and chili.

BUT- The Pats won!! 🙂 You should have seen the BF jumping around when the Ravens missed the field goal. Oh my goodness…

Friday we are heading out of work early to go skiing (hopefully the slopes don’t suck) for the weekend…

What kind of workouts do you have going on?

What’s your favorite workout? I’m beginning to love yoga. My favorite part is that when I start my session I can barely touch the ground and by the end I can put my hands flat.

Hi, friends! Hope you had a nice MLK day whether you were at work or not! I did have to work today, but my lovely other half took care of laundry, grocery shopping and made an amazing dinner with homemade salsa! I got it gooood 🙂

Eats for today (sorry I sucked at taking pictures today):

  • Breakfast: kashi cereal that wasn’t very good
  • Snack 1: plain greek yogurt w/ honey and frozen berries
  • Lunch: California salad minus the gouda + homemade butternut squash

  • Snack 2: peanuts + 2 small apples + cheese stick
  • Dinner: 2 chicken tacos + fresh salsa + 5ish tortilla chips
  • Dessert: 10ish chocolate chips
